Charlotte Chapter presents grant to Supportive Housing Communities

Members of the Charlotte Chapter of Fifty Fabulous Women Giving Circle, a community of philanthropic women who combine their financial strength to improve the lives of women and children in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area, awarded a grant in the amount of $2,575 to Supportive Housing Communities (SHC).

SHC provides affordable housing to chronically unhoused individuals and families. SHC pioneered the concept of providing permanent supportive housing to homeless neighbors with disabilities. It’s a model that works, boasting a 94% success rate of keeping residents in stable housing. In addition to housing, SHC builds community, teaches new skills, provides support for residents in recovery from addictions, and offers programs to develop healthy lifestyles.
