Jennie’s Circle

Jennie’s Circle is a new giving circle established by the Fifty Fabulous Women Giving Circle’s Buffalo Chapter that focuses on the mental health of children, teens, men, and women.
Before the the Pandemic and the recent tragedy at the Jefferson Avenue Tops, many of us were aware of the struggles that children, teens, men, and women faced in our growing frantic world. In the aftermath of those events, the struggles have become even greater and have impacted so many people in our community.
The mental impacts of these events are not waning. Instead, they have grown and help is needed now more than ever. This is why we decided to start Jennie’s Giving Circle.
Jennie was the great aunt of our founder, Lisa LaTrovato, who suffered lifelong mental health issues that robbed her of peace and the comfort of a life without these struggles.
Jennie’s Giving Circle brings women together from around Western New York with one shared goal of helping to provide funding for mental health care for all children, teens, men, and women.
About Jennie’s Circle
Jennie’s Giving Circle is a giving circle open to all women with an annual contribution of $100 or more. We are a small but growing group of individuals focused on improving access to mental healthcare for everyone.
The goal of Jennie’s Giving Circle is to promote women as leaders and philanthropists. We do this by celebrating our shared values, coming together, and empowering other women to live their best lives. We practice self-care. We build our capacity for empathy. And we raise awareness and create action around critical issues related to mental health.
In the short term, our goal is for 100 women to join us at a $100 ($25 quarterly) giving level to ultimately raise $10,000. Our long-term goal (over the next five years) is to have 250 active Jennie’s Giving Circle members.

Grant Eligibility Guidelines
In order to be eligible for a grant from Jennie’s Giving Circle, your organization must:
Be a registered 501(c)3
Be based in and providing services within the 8 counties of Western New York
Promote the mental health of children, teens, men, and women
Apply for a Grant
If you meet our grant criteria, fill out the form below to be considered. Please note that you must be available to make a 5-minute presentation to the Giving Circle. Only complete applications will be considered. We look forward to considering your application!
