This Little Light of Mine
This Little Light of Mine is a giving circle and community composed of middle and high school students who come together four times a year to make a difference in their community through philanthropy.
All leadership positions in this giving circle are filled by the youth membership. It is an opportunity for youth to learn leadership skills, about the work of not-for-profits in our community, and earn service hours at the same time. There will also be an opportunity to work with young professional mentors to learn more about fundraising, leadership, planning, and the impact of not-for-profits in our community.
Members will meet four times per year to pool resources, hear presentations from finalist organizations, and select the organization that will receive grant funding. As an all-volunteer organization with no overhead, 100% of member contributions go directly to programs that align with our mission.
