Charlotte Chapter presents grant to Healing Vine Harbor

Members of the Charlotte Chapter of Fifty Fabulous Women Giving Circle, a community of philanthropic women who combine their financial strength to improve the lives of women and children in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area, awarded a grant in the amount of $1,600 to Healing Vine Harbor.

Healing Vine Harbor serves at-risk women (ages 18 and older as well as McKinney Vento girls from Garinger High School) who are not prepared for independent living. Because they are homeless, have aged out of the foster care system, their homes or current housing situation, they are no longer safe or stable. They lack preparation or resources for the future and end up in shelters, jail, or bounced around from place to place. Healing Vine Harbor offers year-round programs, including emergency financial assistance, independent living skills workshops, mentoring, and basic needs such as clothing and toiletries.
